This year’s parade will be held Saturday, August
9th, at 10:00am. A map of the lineup area and the
parade route will be mailed after your invitation has been approved and accepted. Parade
registration will begin at 7:30am at
the tent on the corner of Fort St. & Hwy 178. Your entry # will be
available at the Parade tent on the 11th. Judging will begin @ 9:00am during line-up. Trophies will
be awarded at Noon at the
Band Stage. This year’s festival theme is “Peanuts For the Good
Life!” so dress your entries with that in mind. There
is no cost to participate but you must return the completed entry form and

RULES & REGULATIONS
- All units must be designed,
built and operated in a manner that is safe for participants and
spectators.
- All parade participants must
be responsible for their own transportation.
- Parade participants under
the age of 12 must have adult supervision during the event.
- Small children walking in
the parade must have approved transportation on hand, or someone
willing and able to carry them should they tire.
- All participants must dress
and behave themselves in a tasteful manner. Participants must keep in
mind that this is a family oriented event.
- The Peanut Party Parade
Commission reserves the right to prohibit participation of any entry
deemed unsafe or in bad taste. The Commission also reserves the right
to remove any entry or participant from the parade when the actions of
that entry or its participants present a danger to spectators or
participants. Decisions of the Commission and / or its delegates will
be final.
- The Pelion Peanut Party
Festival Committee assumes no responsibility for the safety of the
parade participants.
- Any participants driving a
vehicle in the parade should drive in a safe and courteous
manner. No reckless driving
will be tolerated.
- Trophies will be awarded in the following
categories: Most Participation,
Most Humorous, Honorable Mention and the “Proud Peanut”
Award (Best in Show).
